I have an abiding interest in cities. My interest is not just the academic idealization that suggests we can, ultimately, know the city in some objective sense, but other visions of the city as well. How do its residents, visitors, the well-off, and the far from well-off, actually live in the city? Whose description of the city is honoured, and why? Who is allowed, encouraged, or denied the authorial right of creation?
There are, perhaps, thousands of questions like these. And I'm looking for a few, good, answers.
